In 2014, everything changed. My daughter was born, and I made a decision — I was done working for companies that broke their promises. Done building someone else's dream while mine sat on the back burner. I wanted to build something of my own. Something that would give my daughter the life she deserved.
So I jumped. No playbook, no mentor, no roadmap. I became an independent insurance agency owner — and quickly discovered that knowing your industry and knowing how to run a business are two completely different things.
